This paradox—knowing to the depths our “nothingness” (the negative) but precisely because of it getting to enjoy all the benefits of His positive. Thus our spirit and heart: totally temptable through the pulls of our soul and body, yet aligned in faith-union in what already is. So yes! New hearts and spirits that know the voice of their Good Shepherd and that do NOT know the voice of the stranger. This ebb and flow of nothingness/All has been my continuing experience of the flow of His Life for a long time now. What a dynamo for LIFE!
