  Many Christians have accepted the theory that Christmas has a pagan background. Many therefore have mixed feelings about this feast. The background is that under the Roman emperor Justinian (527-565 A.D.)

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith ― that you, being rooted and grounded in love” (Eph. 3:17). “Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving” (Col. 2:7).

Christ and you walked up to Calvary as two separate persons.  There we are put into Christ which is God’s doing (1 Cor. 1:30a).

“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe” (Prov. 29:25).

“Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small” (Jer. 30:19).

Christians with Christ have been crucified, died, buried, resurrected and ascended into heavenly places. However the latter, ascension, is not common property to most believers.

I am not I, but Christ in my human form. I am not THE Christ, THE Son of God, yet I am a son of God. He is the Creator, I am forever the creature. I am not the Vine, but the branch.

Though brothers of the same spiritual family, what a difference there was in the visible realm between Paul and Ananias. Paul’s working field was the Roman Empire while the Bible limits Ananias more or less to Damascus (Acts 9:10).
